Sencha (Organic)
Staff Pick
Organic Sencha is made from tea leaves picked in the early spring in Shizuoka, Japan. The fresh leaves are steamed and lightly rolled, resulting in a light refreshing grassy taste with a nice lingering sweetness. This tea has been produced according to the strict guidelines of the JAS (Japan Agricultural Standard) and is certified organic.
Staff Comments:
Sencha, when prepared in the 150-160 F degree, is one of my all-time favorite teas to enjoy for dissolving away life's mundane struggles and stresses. It's soupy and creamy, not bitter, and less grassy than some of the other green teas, too. Bring your cup to needy lips, and then see if you can do anything other than smile after drinking a nice and savory cup of sweet cream of leaf soup! - Ryan
